The mountain bike experience starts here with the 2026 Giant Talon 2. A redesigned ALUXX-grade aluminum frame is lighter and more durable than before, paired with a smooth-riding suspension fork and modern trail-ready components to help new riders build confidence and progress fast.
Modern MTB design gives the Talon real room to grow. Features like a tapered fork steerer, internal cable routing (including dropper compatibility), thru-axle hubs, and a clutch-equipped 1x drivetrain on select models bring trail-bike credibility without overcomplicating things.
Updated geometry is optimized for confident off-road handling, with wheel size matched to frame size—27.5-inch on smaller frames and 29-inch on larger ones. Suspension travel is tuned by size as well, running either 80 mm or 100 mm for balanced control and efficiency. Clearance for high-volume tires up to 2.4 inches delivers traction and grip on loose, technical terrain.
A durable coil-spring suspension fork smooths out roots, rocks, and trail chatter, while wide Maxxis tires and hydraulic disc brakes provide predictable control and reliable stopping power when the trail gets rough.
Built tough, simple, and capable, the Talon is the ideal hardtail for riders ready to explore trails, develop skills, and take their first real steps into mountain biking.
